An uncanny incident of chaotic protest has been staged by students in Johannesburg on Wednesday morning over fees and registration issues.

Moreover, One person has died and many other students injured at Wits University following the current fees protest.

Police are on scene & investigations are ongoing.

 

They said they feel sad about the alleged financial exclusion of some students by NSFAS.

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane is calling on Police Minister Bheki Cele and the SA Human Rights Commission to intervene in the Wits student protests.

 


Relating the whole event through her Twitter page, Mrs Mkhwebane said Cele and the SAHRC must act to make sure that Wits students are protected from violence at the hands of SAPS and university management.
