Oscar Montgomery Death – Professor Hugh Montgomery Pennington Son Drowning

Oscar Montgomery, the teenage boy who got drowned the last year 2020 while testing his ability to hold his breath underwater has been identified as the son of Professor Hugh Montgomery.

According to BBC, Oscar Montgomery, 17, went missing off Portland, Dorset, on 27 May, prompting a search involving two Royal Navy warships and helicopters.

His body was found in the sea off Church Ope Cove on 17 June.

Reacting to news of Oscar Montgomery a Twitter user wrote :

That segment was sad. I think the government are really underestimating mental health and not factoring it in enough. Professor Hugh lost his son and is still working. Professionals like him are going to be most in need of therapeutic help #ThisMorning

 

Hugh has completed specialist training in general internal medicine, cardiology and intensive care medicine.

He works in Whittington’s intensive care unit. He leads a research group at University College London (UCL), whilst world-class research work at the Whittington site has led to a number of high profile international publications.
