King Goodwill Zwelithini Has Passed Away

The reigning King of the Zulu nation under the Traditional Leadership clause of South Africa’s republican constitution, Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu has passed away at the age of 72.

Last month Zulu king was admitted to ICU in a private hospital with “several unstable glucose readings” but sadly succumbed to the illness today.

King Zwelithini became king on the death of his father, King Cyprian Bhekuzulu kaSolomon, in 1968. He was the longest-serving Zulu monarch – his reign lasted over 50 years.
