Former Titans Player, Xavier Roberson AKA Obe Noir Is Dead

American basketball player, Xavier Roberson who was also known by his music name as Obenoir has passed away. The 31-year-old former Barranquilla Titans player was shot and killed yesterday in the middle of a shooting in Houston.

According to Houston police, the fatal shooting occurred at 2900 Fannin Street about3:40 a.m yesterday March 8 2021.

The police said the 31-year-old Xavier Roberson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports from an eyewitness said Mr Roberson was shot multiple times by two black men who chased him t 2900 Fannin street.

They fled the scene in the vehicle along Tuam Street before turning onto San Jacinto Street after firing shots at Roberson, who collapsed.

Mr Roberson also played in Athens of Argentina, Germany and the previous year he was a member of Cocodrilos de Caracas.

He played for former USA assistant coach Chuck Taylor at Paris Junior College and was led his team to Region XIV tournament semi finals.

Obenoir made 26 appearances with seven starts during the 2009-10 season at the Fort Worth, Texas school.

Spent 2008-09 year at Mississippi Elite Christian Academy in Jackson… Guided the team to a 20-win season and a fourth-place finish at the National Prep School Tournament.
