Reacting to his death, Dave Reda wrote on Facebook – We lost ANOTHER powerful force in horror today, R.I.P. Cleve Hall.

The monster man himself, I had heard he was in the hospital, and then now this… Cleve was definitely a character, & always so much fun to run in to… I appreciated his friendship a lot, and the legendary Halloween parties.

Much much love to the awesome Constance Hall, the great Kenneth J. Hall, & to the rest of the family and my friends. Cleve won’t be forgotten, I am so sad to hear this news, and can just send more love your way.

Born and raised in Florida, Cleve started his own special effects company, Imagination Productions, and worked on numerous commercials and theatre. In the 1980s he moved to Hollywood and worked on many low-budget films, including Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, in which he played Godzilla in a suit he had created himself.

He rose to fame after he got hired by Six Flags over Texas for his Godzilla costume. Cleve in the mid-1980s featured in many movies where he acted like a psychotic killer.
