Windsor Scanner Owner, Kyle Chinnery Has Passed Away



Windsor Scanner owner and sports official at Ontario Hockey Federation, Kyle Chinnery has sadly passed away. He was reported to have died today March 25 2021.

Kyle’s death news was confirmed on social media. No cause of death has been reported yet as of the time of filing this report.

He was a passionate sports and communications enthusiast who enjoys helping the community. Kyle who was employed as a sports official in hockey, ball hockey and soccer, also runs and owns two small businesses in Lakeshore, Ontario.

He is known for giving back to his community through the Tecumseh Snow Angel Program and refereeing several charity tournaments.

As a Sports referee at Ontario Hockey Federation, Kyle worked both under the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) umbrella and was responsible for ensuring the safety of all participants and enforcing rules pursuant to the Hockey Canada Rule Book, and league-specific guidelines.

In 2020 he graduated from the Tecumseh Vista Academy where he bagged his High School diploma, Business specialist high skills major.
