Bo George wrote – It is with a heavy heart that I say… Moses Pellegrino, you will be greatly missed. Met you through Capt. Marlin Scott of Fishmonster Charters. You were a master of your trade and this industry will feel your absence.

Moses fell yesterday on the boat and struck his head which caused an unknowing fatal blood clot, which took him in his sleep. Please take a moment to say a prayer for his friends and family. I will keep everyone informed if I find out if there is something we can do for the family.
God Speed Moses.

I’m grateful for his friendship over the last five years. Please keep his family and all of the angling community in the Keys in your prayers. Rest In Peace Moses.

Joe Benstead wrote – Today is a sad day. Today we found out our friend Moses Pellegrino past away. We met Moses years ago on our first charter in Key West. He was the deckhand and never thought we’d make a friend when booking a fishing charter. We fished with him ever since. No matter what boat he was on we followed. He became a friend to Sarah and me.

We chatted with him regularly between our trips to Key West. He was always reaching out asking when we were coming back and we’d check in on each other to see how life was. He was excited when he found out we were having Juni and texted me right away when he found out, and he was hoping to get to meet her on our next trip.

Some of you fished with us on a few trips and got to meet him. He was an amazing fisherman, but an even better husband and father to his son and daughter. He had a huge heart and will be missed by many. We had a lot of fun memories fishing with you. Rest In Peace buddy. Key West will not be the same without you.
