An explosion that occurred in Northern Syria on Monday has claimed the lives of 4 civilians, local media sources revealed.
According to the reports, the explosion which struck the Ras al-Ayn district, a region near the Turkey-Syria border got about nine persons injured and 4 others killed.
The injured were taken to a hospital, while the blast caused serious material damage in a house hit by the explosion.
As the exact cause of the explosion is still not known, police and other security officers are currently carrying out an investigation on the incident.
Since 2016, Turkey has launched a trio of successful anti-terror operations across its border in northern Syria to prevent the formation of a terror corridor and to enable the peaceful settlement of residents.
