Andrew Male Remembers Wife, Colette Who Passed Away A Year Ago

Senior associate editor of Mojo magazine who also writes about film, radio and TV for Sight and Sound and Sunday Times Culture took to his Twitter page to remember his wife who sadly passed away a year ago.

Andrew’s wife, Colette, who ran a cosy arts cafe in South Norwood called Nico, between February and March fell ill and was admitted to a hospital.

During that time, while battling for her life, Colette was placed in an induced coma because her lungs are too weak/infected and she can’t breathe unassisted. She’s had two COVID-19 tests and both of which both came negative. But after much help from doctors to bring her back to normal life, she sadly succumbed to the illness.

Today, March 20 2021 marks exactly one year, Andrew lost his wife and he took to his Twitter page to make a brief memorial about her.

In a series of tweets, he wrote – A year ago today Colette went into the hospital. This means that a year ago today was the last time I saw her alive. This is the last pic I took of her. I wish I’d taken more.

I’ve no idea how long a year of grief actually feels, but I have such admiration for how you’ve dealt every single day between then and now. Thank you for sharing something of what you’ve had to go through. I’ve no doubt it’s helped so many others who have also lost loved ones.
