PBS Radio Broadcaster, Pierre Baroni Has Passed Away



Radio Announcer and DJ who worked with the PBS  106.7 station as a broadcaster, Pierre Baroni has passed away. He was reported to have died today March 9 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

The news of his death was announced by the PBS Radio Melbourne through their Twitter page.

In a series of tweets they wrote – PBS is heartbroken to share that Pierre Baroni passed away yesterday after a battle with cancer. An extraordinary broadcaster, Pierre presented Soulgroove’66 on PBS since 2003 & broadcast at the station since 1997. Our thoughts are with Pierre’s family & friends at this time.

Pierre Baroni was part of the classic blues, soul and jazz resurgence in Melbourne and an icon in the Melbourne music scene.

He presented Soulgroove’66 on PBS since 2003 & was a broadcaster at the PBS radio station since 1997.
