Del Rounds I will forever be grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside you many times for the last 4 years. You taught me so much, you touched so many lives and you will be very missed. Troy Peterson wrote – MY HEART HURTS! There are times in life that things just don’t seem to make sense. Today is one of those for many of us who knew Del Rounds. Such a heartbreaking loss. His unexpected and sudden passing today caused many of us to stop the hurriedness of whatever we were doing, as our hearts ached from the devastating news.
The shock is still present and the dark cloud that fills our minds is hard to see through. Why? Why Del? Why now? So many questions, so much pain. The pain of a loving wife… I can’t begin to fathom. As a fellow father of daughters, that loss likely feels too immense to overcome right now. Brother, uncle, future father-in-law, partner, teammate, mentor, colleague, friend, the list goes on. There will be time at a later date to reflect on his life and all that he contributed to this world, but for now, I merely share from a broken heart.
Life is fragile. And sometimes much too short. I say this carefully and sensitively, but as a person of faith, I choose to trust and believe that our Creator God has a plan and purpose, and that somehow good can come from the most painful of experiences.

What I noticed was that he was a man of Discipline, a man of integrity, a caring man, a friend, a teacher, a husband, a father, a mentor, a coach, a realtor, an entrepreneur and so much more. He did each of the things with a clear focus and determination to be the best. He not only worked hard to be the beat but worked hard to help every be the best person they could be.
