Jamaican sprinter, Yohan Blake has vowed not to take the circulated anti-Coronavirus vaccine stance, saying that he wouldn’t mind missing the Tokyo 2020 Olympics than getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Blake was one of the Participants at the RIO 2016 Olympics game. During the tournament, he won silver in the 100m relay.

The 31-year-old made the comments while reacting to the new plans by organizers in Japan to ensure athletes’ security with beefed-up health protocols.

“I would rather miss the Olympics than take the vaccine.

“I don’t want to get into it right now, but I have my reasons.”

Though there has not been a mandatory force that athletes must be vaccinated to compete in Tokyo but non-compliance with the mandatory safety protocols will see them exits the competition.
