JaOginga Odinga Referral Hospital casualty wing collapses, no casualty recorded

The latest news reports reaching our news desk has it that the JaOginga Odinga Referral Hospital casualty wing extension which was under construction has collapsed

The report says that there was no casualty reported at the scene of the building collapse.

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) has been in existence for more than 100 years, having been established in the early 1900s to cater for the health needs of the workers at the then port town of Kisumu.

Since then it has grown to become the referral hospital serving more than 100 district and sub-district hospitals in more than 10 counties in the Western Kenya Region.

Its main mandate is to provide curative, preventive, promotive and rehabilitative health services.
