Meet Zoliswa Gigi-Dyosi, Cape Town Nurse Who Is First To Receive The COVID-19 Vaccine In South Africa

As the COVID-19 vaccine are been rolled out across the country, citizens are expected to ready for vaccination to put an end to this menace.

Zoliswa Gigi-Dyosi a nurse from Cape Town has become the first South African to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

Zoliswa among other 16 healthcare workers from different health departments also received the vaccine and report says they will keep under observation. Pictures of them being vaccinated have gone viral on social media.

The President, Cyril Ramaphosa has also received the Covid vaccine. He shared the video of his receiving the vaccine on social media.

80 000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine arrived in South Africa and a further 500 000 are expected in the next four weeks.

She got the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine which was administered at the Khayelitsha Hospital.

When asked about she feels after receiving the vaccine, Zoliswa said she felt a small amount of pain.
