Heard some terrible news from my pal, Ken Doran, today. I’m just devastated to learn that Skip Snair is with us no more. I first met the Skipper back in ’73 when he held court with Ed Smeall at the Concept Band Booking Agency at Donalds’ office in the Allen Building in Old Montreal. I was the booker of bands for my Highschool and very wet behind the ears. Needless to say, a lot was learned back in those crazy fun times.

He was a true Montrealer of the highest order and a great person. A true legend in the music business. The story of how he saved the Rolling Stones concert back in 72 should be made into a movie. Farewell Skip. I’m raising a glass in your honour as I write. RIP Skip. See you again on the other side.
