Proverb Leaving Kaya FM… 4 Years After Working With The Radio Station



Idols SA host and media personality, Proverb whose real names are Tebogo Thekisho has officially announced that he is leaving the Kaya FM radio station for good. Proverb is exiting the radio station after working with them for four years.

He made this known to the public in an official statement made available to our team. Proverb in the statement thanked the Kaya FM for believing in him and giving him the opportunity and space to be part of them for four years.

“Thank you so much, Kaya FM. I am eternally grateful for the wonderful experience and opportunity. My deepest gratitude to Afropolitans for spending their weekends with me the last four years, all the best and God Bless.” he said.

Phil Mphela also confirmed the news of Proverb’s exit from Kaya FM. Mphela via his Twitter handle tweeted “After four years at the station, Tebogo “ProVerb” Thekisho, has left. He hosted Kayasette (Fridays, 12:00-15:00) and The Winner’s Circle (Saturdays, 11:00-14:00)”

Two months ago, Proverb was voted in and was elected into the South African Music Organisation (SAMRO) Board. The appointment was made at these years (The 57TH) Annual General Meeting.

Proverb took to his IG page few days and revealed that he attended the  SAMRO Strategy Review  “Absolute privilege to attend a SAMRO Strategy Review Session as a Non-Executive Director, to contribute and serve an industry upon which my career is built. Grateful for this incredible opportunity to learn more and serve an industry upon which my career is built. Thank you to my colleagues and fellow creatives for the vote of confidence. I look forward to serving on the board of @SAMROMusic“
