Barrister Katie Dawson Has Passed Away

Information that flooded the social media today has it that talented Ireland barrister and advocate, Katie Dawson has reportedly passed away. She was reported to have died today February 8 2021. No cause of death has been reported yet.
Katie’s death news was confirmed in a social media post today. The KOD Lyons Human Rights Solicitors took to their Twitter handle to announce that Katie has passed on.
In a series of tweets they wrote – Katie Dawson BL was a much-loved colleague and friend to us at KOD Lyons. A fierce and able advocate and human rights campaigner in child and family law, women’s rights, domestic violence issues. We will miss her guidance, much-valued advice and good humour. RIP Katie.

Katie went to University College Cork where she bagged her Bachelor of Civil Law, Law in 2000. In 2002 she worked as a Refugee Legal Service – Legal Aid Board at Legal Clerk, In 2005 she officially became a Barrister.
