Trevor Till Death – Mother Whose Son Died By Suicide While On COVID-19 Isolation Sues Governor

An Illinois mom is suing Governor J.B Pritzker after her son died by suicide while struggling with isolation due to COVID-19.

Lisa Moore blamed the Governor for her son’s death stating she believed she won’t have lost her son, Trevor Till Seneca if the Governor had handled the pandemic differently.

Lisa Moore and other parents last month filled a lawsuit in LaSalle County Circuit Court against the Governor and the Illinois High School Association.

In the suit, Lisa Moore and other parents accused Pritzker of cancelling or indefinitely delaying high school sports and activities while allowing college and professional athletics to continue.

Lisa Moore in December 2020 made a lengthy post about her son and how he got deeply affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

My son Trevor Till was a super involved young man at Seneca High School. He thrived on being busy! His senior year 2019-2020 Trevor was: Class President, NHS President, Drum Major, Speech Team Captain, Spanish Club President, XC Captain, Lead in the Fall Play, Lead in The Music Man, band, chorus, clubs and so much more.

Trevor won Mr Irish during Homecoming Week. Trevor was a friend to all. A champion for the Underdogs. He had a Special Bond with his teachers. Many days he was at school from 7 am to 9 pm. Seneca High School was his life. He LOVED to cheer at the football, basketball and volleyball games. Trev led the crowd! Trevor was happy, a great student and had so many goals for his future.

After the Music Man Covid hit. Trevor was never the same. He was so sad he didn’t have his Senior Year Track Season. He dreamt of returning to State in Pole Vault. He was there and PRed his Sophomore year but missed by an inch his Junior Year. No Prom was a huge blow too.

Trevor missed the interaction with his friends and his educators! Zoom is not enough! Trevor started U of I this fall but it wasn’t the college experience he had hoped for. October 21, 2020, my precious boy took his own life. A crushing blow to myself, his dad and my 4 other children.

These kids NEED THEIR ACTIVITIES! IT IS WHAT HIGH SCHOOL IS ALL ABOUT. I honestly believe my son would be here if there was no covid or if covid was handled differently.
