South African president Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the nation at 8pm on the current development involving the country’s fight towards covid-19 pandemic.
The address follows meetings in recent days of the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC), the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) and Cabinet.
According to statistics from the health department, the country currently has recorded a total number of 1,453,761 cases.
The first one million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine arrive in South Africa on Monday.
