Popular Urdu Poet, Dr Rehan Azmi Has Passed Away

An Urdu poet popularly known for writing Nohas, and a song writer of Pakistan has passed away. Rehan was reported to have died today January 25 2021. Circumstances surrounding his death is still yet unknown as at the time of filing this report but reports from sources states that he has been battling with health issues and was admitted to a private hospital where he probably succumbed to the illness.

Dr Rehan Azmi bagged his Guinness Book of World Records in 1997 for being the 7th speediest writer of poetry in the world.

He is the one who wrote the popular Pakistani song Hawa Hawa sung by Hasan Jahangir. The song gained the popularity in 1980s.

He was formeerly writing songs for Radio and Television in his country before switching to Noha Writing.

His death news was disclosed to the public on social media.

Singer Ali Jee took to his official Facebook page to confirm that Dr Rehan Azmi has passed on.

Rehan Chacha was one of the most closest friend of our family and over the years, we created many beautiful memories which shall never be replaced.

Those restless days and nights of work and dedication to spread the message of Ahlulbayt for nearly 30 years will never be forgotten.

My condolences to his family and our whole community. It is indeed a huge loss for us.
