Nigel Pim Death – Waterford Man, Nigel Pimm Dies Of COVID-19

50-year-old Waterford man identified as Nigel Pim has reportedly lost his life few weeks after testing positive for COVID-19. Nigel Pimm was reported to have died on Thursday at University Hospital Waterford after developing mild symptoms after Christmas.

Mr Pim who was described by his community as a good Samaritan had some years back donated one of his kidneys to his father after his dad’s kidney function deterioated. Nigel was a volunteer with the Samaritans and actually gave up his entire Christmas Day last year to help them on one of their busiest days.

He left behind his wife Jeni; his children, Robert and Jordan; his father, Alan; and all of his extended family.

In an interview with WLR FM, Nigel’s wife Jeni Pim said their family took every precaution necessary to avoid contracting the virus.

“We were so careful. We do not know where Nigel got this.

“All of us tested negative. He wore his mask everywhere, to work, hand sanitizers in both the cars.
