Former ABC7 News Anchor Anchor, Greta Kreuz Dies At 63

Retired news reporter who worked as a news anchor for ABC7 has reportedly died. According to reports, Greta Kreuz passed away today January 30, 2021, at the age of 63 after a long battle with lung cancer.

In 2012, Greta Krueuz was diagnosed with lung cancer. Making her battle for cancer public in 2019, Greta said, “I never smoked. I was in good health, I was relatively young, it was the last thing in the world I expected to hear, ‘you have lung cancer.’”

According to her brief biography on Facebook, Greta Kreuz was a former journalist at ABC7 and WJLA. She was also a former reporter at WPRI-TV.

Greta Kreuz studied broadcasting and public affairs at American University. She also went to German (Deutsch) at Ohio University.

The news of her death was confirmed via social media. WJLA news anchor, Alison Starling took to her official Facebook to announce the death of Greta Kreuz.

Reacting to her death she wrote – My heart is so heavy today. We lost a force of nature, our dear Greta Kreuz. She was a special person who made us all laugh and inspired us through her 8 year battle with cancer. Miss you, Greta. Can’t wait to have a party to celebrate your life when this pandemic is over.
