Who Is Paul Rivas? The Driver Who Killed 1 & Injured 5 In Portland Car Rampage Identified

Paul Rivas has been identified as the the driver who crashed into people along streets and sidewalks in Portland, Oregon injuring five people and killing an elderly woman.

The driver was arrested yesterday after striking six pedestrians in Portland, killing one. The suspect’s name is Paul Rivas. He is 64 years old and is from Woodland, Wash. It is unknown if he has been charged yet.

Police received a call shortly after 1 p.m. that a driver had hit a pedestrian, according to Portland Police Bureau spokesman Derek Carmon.

Additional calls then came from people saying a person driving the same suspect vehicle, a Honda Element, was striking other people and vehicles, he said.
