Police looking for Rayshawn Bennet AKA YFN Lucci following a shooting in Atlanta

Atlanta Police Homicide Investigators are asking for assistance locating 29-year-old Rayshawn Bennett (also known as YFN Lucci). Bennett is wanted on multiple charges for his role in the shooting death of 28-year-old James Adams on December 10, 2020.

On December 10, 2020 at around 5:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to 978 Peeples St SW in reference to a person shot call. Upon arrival, officers located 28-year-old James Adams laying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. Grady EMT’s as well as Atlanta Fire and Rescue arrived on scene and administered medical treatment. Mr. Adams was transported to Grady Hospital and despite lifesaving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

A short time later, the second victim, 32-year-old Kevin Wright arrived at Fire station 14 by private vehicle. Mr. Wright suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and subsequently survived his injuries. Atlanta Police Homicide Investigators responded to both scenes and began their investigation. During the course of the investigation, investigators determined the two shootings are likely related.

The below individuals have been identified through an exhaustive investigation in coordination with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Ra’von Boyd (23 years old) – APPREHENDED
Felony Murder (O.C.G.A. § 16-5-1)
Aggravated Assault (O.C.G.A. § 16-5-21)
Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity (O.C.G.A. § 16-15-4 (a))
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (O.C.G.A. § 16-11-106)
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (O.C.G.A. § 16-11-131)

Leroy Pitts (17 years old) – APPREHENDED
Felony Murder (O.C.G.A. § 16-5-1)
Aggravated Assault (O.C.G.A. § 16-5-21)
Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity (O.C.G.A. § 16-15-4 (a))
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (O.C.G.A. § 16-11-106)
