St Ann’s College mourns the death of their College Club President Chelsea Masclet who died at the age of 21.
According to them, Chelsea joined the school St Ann’s in 2018 and was one of the kindest, most enthusiastic, courageous and hardworking young people within our close community. She became College Club President this year, and carried out all of her duties enthusiastically and wholeheartedly, despite battling her illness.
She also remained dedicated to her studies, undertaking her exams just a few weeks ago.
She was also a very accomplished sportswoman, playing a critical role in St Ann’s winning the High Table Cup in 2019 – our first time in 25 years!
“We feel very privileged that someone as special as Chelsea was a part of our St Ann’s family and plan to hold a celebration of her life early next year for the College community. We will share details when this is confirmed.”

Denise von Wald: – “It’s such sad news. Most people spend their entire lives trying to be half the person Chelsea was, she was a genuine joy to be around. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.”
Deborah Garcia: – “My condolences to all that have had the privilege of knowing her. I only met her briefly and have asked my son, that lives in residence, often about her. She did come across as an extraordinary and enthusiastic young woman that not ever once allowed her disease to own her. What an example of courage!!!RIP.
Heidi Gill: – “Dear Chelsea. She was the light of St Ann’s with a smile that could brighten a room. I feel honoured to have known her and inspired by her courage and kindness.”
North Adelaide Football Club: – “VALE CHELSEA MASCLET It is with profound sadness that the North Adelaide Football Club extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and teammates of Chelsea Masclet.
Chelsea lost her battle at the weekend, after a long illness. She was just 21 and had been involved in our Women’s program since 2018.
Chelsea will be remembered as a wonderful part of the North Adelaide Football Club. Our hearts go out to her family and many friends.
AFL Broken Hill: – “The AFLBH Board, competition match committee and volunteers offer our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Chelsea Masclet.
We meet many great people through our game and every now and then you meet someone like Chelsea.
Her love of the Central club and teammates and the respect she had from her opponents knew no bounds.
Her smile and zest for life were evident and contagious whether wearing the black and white or the Broken Hill colours she gave her all.
Our game has lost some wonderful people this year to lose Chelsea is heartbreaking.
May she Rest In Peace.”
