SHOCKING! Senzo Meyiwa Tombstone Vandalized (Photos)

The Tombstone of Former Orando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa which was unveiled on November 10, 2020, has been vandalized by unknown persons.

The Bafana Bafana took to their official Twitter handle to share the pictures of the heavily vandalized tombstone situated in the Chesterville Heroes Acre in Durban.

In a series of tweets, they wrote – VANDALIZED: Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Senzo Meyiwa’s tombstone has been vandalized, 2 months after it was unveiled in Clermont, Durban.

The South Africa international and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was fatally shot and killed in 2014 after he tried to protect his girlfriend from intruders.

Meyiwa, who was killed at the age of 27, captained Bafana in all of his last four matches which he played during the 2015 Afcon qualifiers.
