The Kaizer Chiefs football club on Tuesday announced the death of Joe Frickleton who was once the former Amakhosi coach.
The news of his death according to them was made known by the Chairman who reacted with shock hearing the news of his passing.

The Former Orlando Pirates coach Joe Frickleton was reported to have been diagnosed with dementia in May of 2019, He became a shadow of his former self after being admitted to hospital in Cape Town.
He was a former Scottish professional footballer and manager.
Frickleton played as a midfielder for the youth team, playing for Clydebank Juniors before becoming a professional at Argelain Stirlingshire, where he made 107 appearances for the Scottish Football League from 1957 to 1964.
He then moved to South Africa to play for Highlands Park, where he won three national championships..
Frickleton remained one of the most successful coaches in the country after leading Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Lusitano to a number of trophies before disappearing from professional football in 1995.
The Scotsman took Bucs to the African Champions Cup final after taking over the coaching reins from Mike Makaab halfway through the season.
He stepped down after the 2-2 home draw with Asec Mimosas in Johannesburg due to behind-the-scene problems.
Ronald Mkhandawire later replaced him for the second leg of the final in Abidjan, where the Sea Robbers won the game 1-0 thanks to a Jerry Sikhosana strike to bring the continental trophy home.
“He was in hospital in Cape Town in May 2019, where he suffered from dementia.
He couldn’t remember anything or remember anybody,” says Cohen, who visited the former Bucs coach at his hospital bed.
“He was a great coach. Joe hated losing. He was a champion. He was the Alex Ferguson of South African football. At Highlands Park he won a trophy in every season [as a player].
Frickleton was at the helm during the quadruple title-winning era of 1984.
