Texas Football player, Chance Waz has been reported dead, The young man was said to have died on Monday morning.

Several former Baylor players and others around the program have tweeted things indicating that former Baylor DB Chance Waz passed away today. The cause is not yet confirmed.

According to Jamaal who shared this sad news on his Twitter page said: “I didn’t know chance waz personally, but I did have the pleasure of watching his little brother in the YMCA after school program.

He spoke so highly of him and he said he was going to be just like him one day. – Tired of seeing the young die.”

Chance Waz was born in 1996 and raised in Pflugerville, Texas, he is an American student and football player.

He played for Baylor Bears and Lady Bears and is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Chance played in nine games, made 15 tackles and one TFL on the season and tallied one tackle vs. Iowa State … Made one tackle vs. Texas Tech …

Played at Duke but did not record any stats, He also played in the second half vs. UTSA after being suspended for the first half due to targeting hit vs. Liberty, but did not record any stats there he made five tackles and career-high-tying one TFL vs. Liberty before being ejected in the fourth quarter on targeting penalty.

In 2016 as a Junior, Chance played in 12 of 13 games and made eight starts at safety … Started, made three tackles vs. Boise State … Started, registered five tackles and one pass breakup at No. 13 West Virginia … Notched eight tackles and one PBU vs. Texas Tech … Tallied one tackle vs. Kansas State … Started, had one tackle at No. 9 Oklahoma … Started, recorded career-high 11 tackles, seven solo stops and one PBU vs. TCU … Started, posted six tackles at Texas … Started, had two tackles vs. Kansas … Started, totalled five tackles at Iowa State … Made the first start of the season vs. Oklahoma State, recorded eight tackles … Tallied two tackles at Rice … Made season debut in the second half of SMU game, did not record stats … Missed first 1.5 games of 2016 due to violation of team rules … Selected to Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll spring 2017.

Then in 2015 as a Sophomore he started safety in 11 of 13 games, entered starting lineup in third game … Named honourable mention All-Big 12 by league coaches … Totaled 70 tackles (fourth on the team), 54 solo, one TFL, three PBUs and one fumble recovery in 13 games played … Made first career start and totalled career-high eight tackles (six solo, one for loss) in win over Rice in third game … Matched career-best eight stops (seven solos) and added a fumble recovery in a win vs. Texas Tech in the fourth game … Had seven tackles (six solo) and breakup in win over West Virginia in the sixth game … Made six tackles (five solo) and PBU vs. No. 12 Oklahoma in the ninth game … Totaled five solo tackles vs. No. 15 TCU and Texas … Had six stops in win over No. 10 North Carolina in Russell Athletic Bowl.
