COVID-19: Former president Jacob Zuma not hospitalized, his son Edward reveals

Contrary to recent rumours on social media that former South African President Jacob Jacob Zuma has been hospitalized due to covid-19, his son Edward has come out publicly to debunk the rumoured that his father was hospitalized after suffering from Covid-19 complications.
Former President Jacob Jacob Zuma, is well, enjoying the holidays at home with his sons said.
That’s the word from Edward Zuma following a report that the former president and his wife Gertrude Sizakele MaKhumalo were hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
He said: “We wish to inform the South African public about the health condition of former president Jacob G Zuma.
“The former president is well and currently enjoying his festive season with family and is at home adhering to all regulations announced in March this year. Former president Zuma is well and in good spirits.”
Sunday World reported that a source confirmed the former first couple was admitted to Netcare The Bay Hospital in Richards Bay, northern KwaZulu-Natal.
He went further to say:
“We want to ask all South Africans to abide by all the rules set by our government, as the former president has done since the epidemic began.
“Let all compatriots enjoy the rest of the holiday season, stay safe, clean, wear a mask because it is mandatory.”
The news of the former president’s illness comes on the same day he faced the Constitutional Court’s harsh treatment in connection with the investigation into the seizure of the state.
The court was examining the urgent request for an investigation, in which the former president had to order to keep the two summonses given by him in order to give evidence and answer questions in the new year.
