Nick McGlashan Of Deadliest Catch Show Is Dead

7th generation fisherman who was raised not far from Dutch Harbor on the nearby island of Akutan, Alaska, Nick McGlashan has passed away. According to reports from sources, Nick McGlashan was reported to have died of a heart attack.

Nick is known for his witty quips, working through the pain, and not stopping the job until its done. He has also kept the boat running through all kinds of mechanical issues, manufacturing quick fixes on the fly.

He started crabbing on the Bering Sea at age 13 on the F/V Westling.

Nick McGlashan had in August lost his Mahlon Reyes. Mahlon Reyes died of a heart attack at the age of 38. Mahlon died July 27,  a day after he was rushed to North Valley Montana Hospital in his hometown of Whitefish, Montana.

Reacting to Nick’s death, New Zealand Fishing News contributor Ben Carey wrote – Just been flicking through the Dutch Harbour fishing page and it seems that Nick McGlashan of the television show Deadliest Catch passed away today from a heart attack I believe. Fans might remember Nick as the deck boss on the Summer Bay with Wild Bill.

Tinseltown Caroler wrote – I’m seeing posts that Nick McGlashan has died Loudly crying face I know he struggled but he was one of the most likable guys, you wanted to root for him! His smile was contagious on the show and he was so talented in many things.
