Manchester United Have a Way to Stop Jamie Vardy movements

Manchester United will play a boxing day match against Leicester City at King Power Stadium in Week 15 of the Premier League, Saturday (26/12) at 19.30 WIB. The Red Devils will try to kill Jamie Vardy’s movement.

The Leicester striker is still sharp at the moment with a score of 11 goals in the Premier League and last season was the top scorer in England. Vardy is one of the most dangerous players from Leicester to threaten the MU goal.

No doubt MU will try to limit its movement. To do so, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team will rely on the insights of former Leicester City defender Harry Maguire to stop Vardy.

Maguire (27 years) played for Leicester from 2017 to 2019 before being transferred for £ 80 million by Man United. During those two years, the MU captain was very familiar with Vardy’s playing characteristics.

“Vards is a great player,” said Maguire, who expressed his hope to use his knowledge of Vardy, quoted by the Manchester Evening News.

“He’s obviously got the Golden Boot and I’m very happy for him. He’s a great guy and a top player. I played against him a lot in training and twice last year, so I know it’s going to be a tough fight but hopefully me and the other center-backs. can handle it. ”

Maguire also predicts fierce resistance from Leicester under Brendan Rodgers who is competing in the current Champions League zone. Leicester are in second place in the standings with 27 points, one point above United who have played one game less.

“They started very well, like they did last season. They are a great team with great players and a great manager,” added Maguire.

“I fully hope they are there challenging again for the top four. They had good results against Spurs, I hope they go out there and get good results. ”

“Tactically they are very good and it will be a tough challenge, but this is a challenge that we look forward to and we handle with confidence,” said the England defender.
