Actor Anil Nedumangad reportedly dies at the age of 48yrs

Indian actor Anil Nedumangad reportedly drowned while bathing in Malankara dam in Thodupuzha on Friday.
The 48-year-old who starred on several movies like ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’, ‘Kammatti Paadam’, ‘Njan Steve Lopez’ and ‘Porinju Mariyam Jose’ was reported to have been in Thodupuzha for the shooting of ‘Peace’ starring Joju George. During an interval, Anil Nedumangad and friends went to bathe in Malankara dam.
It is known that he entered a deeper area and fell under strong currents.
His friends, who noticed him missing, searched for him and rescued him at around 6 pm with the help of rescuers. He was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead
His body has been taken to the Todupuja District State Hospital.
Anil was born in Nedumangad, Trivandrum, Kerala, as the son of C. Peethambharan Nair, a retired teacher. He had an elder brother, Anand, an Ayurvedic Doctor. He studied in Mancha School, MG College (BA Malayalam) and School of Drama, Thrissur.
He started his career as TV Anchor & Program producer in TV Channels Kairali TV, Asianet (TV channel), JaiHind TV, Reporter TV and Kairali News.
Several celebrities from the Malayalam film industry took to social media to mourn the demise of Nedumangad.
Prithviraj tweeted, “Nothing. I have nothing to say. Hope you’re at peace Anil etta.”
Dulquer Salmaan took to Instagram and wrote, “Heart hurts. Can’t make sense of this. RIP Anil etta. Prayers and strength to your family. 💔💔”
