American Female Abstract Artist, Jackie Saccoccio Has Passed Away

American female painter, Jackie Saccoccio has sadly passed away. She was reported to have died today November 4 2020 at the age of 57. The cause of her death or what led to her sad demise has not been made public.

Since the 1970s Saccoccio has experimented with randomness in her work. She creates her compositions by pouring oil, pressing one canvas on top of another and pulling them across each other, and scraping through dry paint.

In January 2020 her show “Femme Brut” opened in two galleries in New York City. One of those galleries, Van Doren Waxter, has represented Saccoccio since 2008. The two galleries include 30 paintings, prints and drawings. The artist has works at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, MCA in Chicago, and the Museum of Fine Art in Boston.

Jackie Saccoccio 1963 – 2020 your brilliance will only continue to burn brighter. R. I. P. Theodore Slein 1939 – 2020 deeply beloved father and collector who had the vision to acquire Jackie’s work, your kindness will always be my guide.

Dominique Reil wrote – Rest In Peace, Jackie Saccoccio. You made the world more beautiful, more provoking, and more fun. And god did we love you for it. She was someone who made the world a better place. Our loss, not mine particularly. Her husband, her daughter, her close network of loves and giggle-buddies.
