Sir Walter E Williams Has Passed Away

Popular American economist, commentator and academic who was the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, as well as a syndicated columnist and author known for his classical liberal and libertarian views, Walter E. Williams has passed away. He was reported to have died today December 2 2020. The cause of his death was not made known to the public as at the time of filing this report.
Dr. Williams was an intellectual titan, fierce defender & proponent of the free-market, Constitution, right-to-life & traditional American values.
Born on March 31, 1936, Williams grew up without a father in the Philadelphia housing projects. His neighbour was Bill Cosby, and many of the characters in Cosby’s sketches were kids Williams knew.
Dr will be remembered for most of his notable quotes which include: How does something immoral, when done privately, become moral when it is done collectively? Furthermore, does legality establish morality, Slavery was legal; apartheid is legal; Stalinist, Nazi, and Maoist purges were legal, Clearly the fact of legality does not justify these crimes. Legality, alone, cannot be the talisman of moral people.

Sad to hear of the passing of Walter E. Williams. A brilliant man who inspired me. My favorite quote from him: pic.twitter.com/uTpLkJkzED

I’m seeing reports that one of the two men responsible for leading me to libertarianism has passed away.
And one of the greatest personal milestones was being able to tell him, in the flesh, what exactly he meant to me.
Rest easy, Dr. Walter E. Williams. pic.twitter.com/XYOB5CmF5K

Sir Walter E Williams has just passed on and I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his kin. It’s a tragedy that many black people have heard of black revolutionaries like Dr King and Malcolm X but very few have heard of black intellectuals like sir Walter Williams pic.twitter.com/raNOgNxdB3
