Emmy Nominated choreographer, Gregg Russell Has Passed Away

Sad to report that Emmy nominated choreographer, Gregg Russell has sadly passed away. He was reported to have died today November 23 2020. Circumstances surrounding his death has not been made public as at the time of filing this report.

Gregg has been a member of the ASH faculty since 2014

Gregg has worked with such stars as Gregory Hines, Kenny Ortega, Bette Midler, Gene Kelly, The Nicholas Brothers, and Michael Jackson. He directed a commercial for Carvel Ice Cream and has also performed with numerous music artists including Reba McEntire, Smashmouth, The B-52’s, and Jason Mraz.

Gregg Russell owns the Alabama dance studio alongside his wife Tessa Zimomra Russell. The studio offers classes in tap dancing, ballet, jazz dance, hip hop, and dance exercise.
