EFF Football Player, Chris Johnstone Is Dead

EFF Football Player, Chris Johnstone has sadly passed away. Chris Johnstone was reported to have died today November 24 2020. His cause of death was not made public.

The Club took to their official social media handle to announce the death of Chris Johnstone.

The Official Press Release Read: The EE Football Team offers our condolences to the family and friends of former player Chris Johnstone. Chris played for the team from 1986-1992 and he will be missed.

Reacting to his death Bradford Pettigrew described Chris as one of the finest human beings and will be greatly missed.

In His Words – The kicks to the heart just keep coming. My friend Chris Johnstone lost his long brave battle with cancer today. Best known for his many years in the CFL with Edmonton and later the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, I will always remember Chris as one of the finest bass players I ever worked with, and one of the gentlest, most giving people I have known.

His love for his beautiful family always came first, and he gave back to the community as a much loved (and winning) football coach for the Wolfpack, in Hinton. Chris was one of the finest human beings I have ever known, and his passing leaves a large hole in my heart.
