EIU Panther Football strength Coach Joe Orozco Is Dead

The Eastern Illinois University are mourning the death of EIU Panther Football strength Coach Joe Orozco. Joe Orozco was reported to have died over the weekend. His cause of death or what led to his sudden demise is not yet known as at the time of filing this report.

Orozco, 30, played college football at North Central College earning Academic All-Conference honours. He earned his undergraduate degree from NCC in 2012 and a master’s degree from Northwestern in 2017. A native of Tinley Park, Ill., his is survived by his parents and two sisters.

Joe Orozco served one year as a graduate assistant strength coach in 2014 before four years as an assistant football performance coach.

In 2012, Joe obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from North Central College in 2017 he bagged his Master’s Degree also from Northwestern.

EIU Athletic Director Tom Michael described Orozco as a vibrant member of the club. “It was a shock to the system to hear the news that a young person that was so full of life and energy had passed away, he was someone that brought such passion for his work, our players and the EIU football program every day. His presence will truly be missed,” said Tom.

Reacting to Joe’s death, Michael posted on Facebook – RIP Undisputed Tater Tot Champ – Joe Orozco – damn I’m gonna miss your jokes and hijinks. We had a lot of fun man – and you made a lot of stuff fun for a lot of people. Your work ethic and sacrifice was something else. So much respect the way you chased your dream.

You were a real-life Teddy Bear brother – I’ll miss your laugh and smile greatly, until we meet again here’s to blastin’ creed, watching classic WWF highlights, office high scores on Snake io, George Foreman grills, Lincoln omelettes, taking your shirt off (for any reason) liftin’ heavy, and eatin’ thick.
