Soon To Wed Malaysian Model Loses Her Life After Failed Liposuction Surgery

A soon to wed Malaysian model has lost her life after undergoing a liposuction procedure at an unlicensed beauty salon situated in Sunway Velocity Mall, Cheras.

According to reports, the late-model identified as Coco Siew Zhi Shing who was preparing for her wedding to her fiance in 2021 had visited Malaysia to get liposuction surgery on her arms in preparation for her wedding.

She paid in RM2,500 for the surgery to the beauty salon after getting knowledge about it through the internet, Bride-to-be’s brother revealed to local media.

On 17 October, the day of the procedure, Siew, accompanied by a friend, arrived at about 2.30 pm for the surgery and received an anaesthetic injection. However, about half an hour into the surgery, Siew’s friend noticed that the surgeon was getting flustered and was experiencing some problems during the surgery.

Siew’s friend immediately called an ambulance and medical staff tried to revive Siew, whose heart had stopped. Unfortunately, she was unable to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 5 pm.

Siew’s brother revealed that he was notified of the news by the friend and rushed to the hospital, but it was too late as Siew had already died. He said that the person in charge of the beauty salon did not come to the hospital until 8 pm.
