Victoria Spry has sadly passed away. The 35-year-old lady who faced serious abuse at the hands of her foster mother, Eunice was reported to have died yesterday September 30 2020. Her cause of death is not yet known as at the time of filing this report.

For nearly twenty years, Victoria was subjected to physical and mental abuse – alongside her two siblings – from foster mother Eunice, who was jailed in 2007.

The abuse from her foster mother propelled her to write a book about what she went through in the hands of her mother. She titled the book “Tortured“.

Victoria’s mother in 2007 was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment after she was found guilty of a range of charges including cruelty and unlawful wounding. The jail term was later reduced to 12 on appeal.

She was arrested when police raided her home in Tewkesbury in February 2005.

Reacting to her death, Victoria’s brother, Christopher stated that her sister wanted to be remembered for her mission to help children.

“The work she was doing with the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Board and social services was because she wanted ours to be the last ‘horror case’ for Gloucestershire, I think her legacy will be the work she was doing to help the next wave of social workers to spot cases like ours earlier on,” he said.
