A second-year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, Jason Arbour has sadly passed away. Jason was reported to have died on October 12 2020. His cause of death or what led to his sudden demise was never made known to the public.

Jason Arbour was a member, Electrical Subteam, University of Waterloo Formula Motorsports. He headed the software development for the 2020 season.

In a short time period, he became fully integrated with legacy systems and helped make meaningful contributions to the team, leading manufacture and testing of custom circuit boards and wiring harness, including a CAN communications bus.

He developed business intelligence solutions with SSIS, SQL; saving the company hundreds of dollars a week.

Jason Arbour was a candidate for BASc, Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the death of Jason Arbour, a second-year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo.

Jason’s family will forever remember him as a thoughtful, curious adventurer with a quick wit and a ready laugh. He loved machines of all kinds, from computers to cars. He loved building things with his own two hands.
