Her death was made public through an official Facebook post shared by Herby K, according to reports Angela Busi Doe passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2020.

“For those who are not aware, my Dear Friend Angela Busi Doe passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2020. She was Co-Owner of Herby K’s Restaurant in Shreveport.

She was a Wife, Daughter, Mother, and a Friend to many. She was a Fierce Advocate for Rescue Animals, especially Pit Bulls, and an Amazing Supporter of Rescues in the Shreveport-Bossier Area.

This Page is a Tribute to her. Anyone is welcome to make posts and share memories of her, either through Rescue or her Business which became a Shreveport Institution. This Page is for her husband David, and her daughter Madeline. No Negative Comments will be Tolerated.”

Her husband, David Doe posted this message:

A memorial will be held at Herby K’s next Sunday. Details will follow. If anyone has any thoughts or memories they would like to share, please share those on the Herby K’s Facebook Page.

Justin Thomas started a Facebook page to remember Angela. He posted this heartfelt message to share his experiences with her.

When I started Lumberjack Rescue in 2011, one of the first people who called me and offered to help in any way was Angela Busi Doe. Over the 10 years, I knew her, she helped us so many times. Whether it was a Fundraiser or just talking to offer moral support, it didn’t matter. She was not the kind of person who waited to be asked to help. She just reached out to help. I doubt she weighed 100 pounds soaking wet, but if anything stood in her way of doing something she believed in, she was a giant. And you knew it. She had the kindest heart, of anyone I ever met. She was very proud of her Business and History. She dearly loved her family. If we learn anything from her untimely passing I hope it is this: NEVER wait to tell someone you love them. Our time here is not guaranteed.

To the Herby K’s family and to Angela’s family, I will keep you all in my prayers and I urge everyone to do the same.

Heliopolis Shreveport News and Culture Also Shares Their heartfelt Tribute:

The common bond of humanity is the need to help and make a difference. Politics sometimes creates a divide but with people who have a good heart ❀, it’s not a difference-maker. You two shared the gift 🎁 rescue. It transcended the cesspool of politics. You both cared about things that mattered. So sorry for her passing 😞 😒. The world 🌎 needs folks who step up for the voiceless.
