Two And A Half Men actress Conchata Ferrell has died after suffering from a heart attack.
It was recently announced that she was transferred from the hospital ICU to a long-term care facility.
Conchata’s move comes after a four-week stay in the hospital in May according to husband Arnie, who spoke with TMZ.
Ferrell, 77, is beloved for playing Charlie Sheen’s housekeeper Berta on the CBS sitcom.
Her last health problems began in May, when she was hospitalized last December for symptoms caused by an infection she had this January.
After being hospitalized for several days, the two-time Emmy nominee suffered a 10-minute cardiac arrest without warning, being held for another four weeks.
She began her treatment at what Arni called the “respiratory department.” There she went on respiratory dialysis.
She was in a stable state few days ago, she was said to be in a semi-conscious state, she was aware of her surroundings, but she was still able to communicate.
Conchata’s latest illness was linked to a previous hospital stay last winter.
In December, she contracted a life-threatening kidney disease.
She felt “weak and fragile”, which turned out to be a kidney infection that spread throughout her body, “began to contaminate her blood,” according to TMZ.
She was hospitalized in Charleston, West Virginia, where she spent a long time in the WMC.
The actress spent the whole of December and January at MMI while doctors tried to treat her.
Conchata told TMZ that her husband, Arnie Anderson, “did not take care of anything on the day of her life” but was there when she needed it.
In 1986, the star married Arni. They are the parents of a daughter, Samantha, 38, born in 1982.
