Mark Harris, the seventh and final husband to Hollywood actress Martha Raye and a frequent Stern Show visitor throughout the 1990s whose death was rumoured few years was confirmed dead today by Howard.

The singer according to reports died on September 28, 2018, in Los Angeles, Nevada, the USA at the age of 71.

The executive producer Gary Dell’Abate said he got the information about Mark’s death from his childhood friend Barry, who said the self-proclaimed singer died in 2018 after he got really sick.

“Mark left Barry … some tapes, some memorabilia, and 15 chapters of a memoir that wasn’t finished,” Barry told Gary.

Born on February 1, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, USA as Mark Harris Bleefeld. In 1991 he got married to Martha Raye who died on October 1994.

appeared on the Howard Stern Show many times. He would tell Howard and Robin different ways he was going to become famous, from a cooking show, a game show, a line of furs, to various stage plays. None of these came to fruition, but ironically, having been on Stern’s show so many times, he achieved a certain degree of niche fame.

Mark’s forte on the Howard Stern show was bringing in various songs that were political parodies: his targets ranged from Bill Clinton to Newt Gingrich. Either his vocals were backed by a Casio-sounding keyboard “instrumentation” or played on the piano by Leo DeLyon.

He wrote a musical based on Oscar Wilde’s The Portrait of Dorian Gray, and once Howard Stern played clips of the rehearsals on his “E Entertainment Show.” In the play, whenever the picture aged, Mark Harris, as Dorian, would get various nips and tucks by a plastic surgeon.

The television show that he had recorded around Europe and hoped would sell was titled “Phantom of the Kitchen”. He’d visit various homes in Europe and the residents would cook for him, and Mark would make alterations and give advice since he considered himself an avid cook.

On the Howard Stern Show in the late ’90s, he announced to be engaged to another older rich woman. Mark brought along his new psychologist, television personality Dr Gilda Carle. She too advised Mark to wait to marry again so quickly. It turns out, Mark never did marry the older woman.
