On Wednesday evening, First Lady Virginia and her husband Ralph Northem were notified that a member of our official residence staff had developed symptoms and tested positive for COVID19.
They both received PCR nasal swab tests yesterday and both tested positive.
According to the Governor who shared this on his official Twitter page said:
“Pam is experiencing mild symptoms, and I am asymptomatic. Per
@VDHgov guidelines, we will isolate at home for 10 days and then reevaluate our symptoms.”
“I am in constant contact with my cabinet and staff, and will continue working from the Executive Mansion.”
He went further to reveal that reveal how real and contagious the virus is: “As I have been reminding Virginians throughout this crisis, #COVID19 is very real and very contagious.”
“We are grateful for your thoughts and support, but the best thing you can do for us—and most importantly, for your fellow Virginians—is to take this virus seriously.”

The Democratic governor is not experiencing symptoms, while Virginia first lady Pamela Northam currently has “mild symptoms,” the governor’s office said.
Both will isolate over the next 10 days and the governor will continue working from home.
The positive diagnosis of Northam comes two days after the announcement of the Governor of the Missouri Supreme Council Mike Parson only for the fact that his wife and his wife tested positive for Covid-19.
Ohio Gov. Mike Devine had a coronavirus fear in August because he initially tested positive before greeting President Donald Trump in Cleveland just hours after he tested negative for the virus.
