Spectrum brand Inc mourns the death of their loved one Dr Phil Szuba from Foothill Ranch.
Although Phil’s death is not yet confirmed and the cause of his death is still not yet disclosed.
Phil prior to his death was the President of the Hardware and Home Improvement Division (HHI) of Spectrum Brands, a 7,000+ employee division comprised of Kwikset, Baldwin Hardware, Pfister Faucets, National Hardware, Stanley Hardware, Weiser Lock, EZ-Set, Fanal, and Tell Manufacturing Brands.
Prior to being named President, Phil was the Sr. V.P. of Global Technology and Operations, responsible for Engineering, Operations, Business Development and Integration. During the merger of Stanley and Black & Decker.
He served as the Integration Team leader for the HHI division and was responsible for functional integration as well as the Stanley & National Hardware business integration into the HHI group. Phil also served as the Integration Leader for the Tong Lung Metals Acquisition and Integration.
And before joining Black & Decker HHI in 2008, was the Director and General Manager of Avdel North America for Avdel Fastening Systems, a $220 million business unit of Acument Global Technologies, formerly Textron Fastening Systems. Prior to this, he spent most of his career at Lamb Technicon Machining Systems, a machine tool system integrator where he worked for 12 years in a variety of Engineering positions, most recently as the Director of Research and Development.
Dr. Szuba earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D in Systems Engineering from Oakland University. He holds 12 U.S. and numerous foreign patents and is a registered professional engineer.
