WWE Legend, Joseph Michael Laurinaitis Dies At 60

WWW legend and Hall of Famer, Joseph Michael Laurinaitis one half of legendary WWE tag-team the Legion of Doom, is dead. Joseph Michael Laurinaitis died at the age of 60. The Hall of Famer, called Road Warrior Animal, and his partner Hawk made notable appearances in the 1980s and 90s.

The former WWE star was reported to have died today September 23 2020. Road Warrior Animal who headlined multiple pay-per-view events for the WWF and WCW, competing for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at 2001’s Sin passed away today at the age of 60.

Hulk Hogan has tweeted that Joseph Laurinaitis of Road Warrior Animal has passed away at the age of 60. One-half of one of the most iconic tag teams in wrestling.

The Road Warrior Animal has also confirmed that Joseph Michael Laurinaitis AKA Road Warrior Animal has passed on. The shared the news in a series of tweets via their official twitter handle.

Laurinaitis grew up in Minnesota, having to work for a living from a very early age. He attended Irondale High School.

Because of his size and love of powerlifting, Laurinaitis was an imposing figure and thus a very effective bouncer.

He worked as a bouncer at Grandma B’s in the Twin Cities where he caught the eye of Eddie Sharkey, a well-known wrestling trainer. Sharkey thought that Laurinaitis and Mike Hegstrand, Richard Rood, and Barry Darsow could make it big in professional wrestling, and trained all four of them.
