Kidnapped Riaz Khan’s son, Hamza Khan has been freed

Multi-talented marketer Hamza Khan 30-year-old who was kidnapped last week in JHB has been freed by police. He was held captive in JHB.

In the video shared by South African journalist Yusuf Abramjee last week,Hamza Khan was wearing a dark jacket and was seen being taken out from his vehicle by two assailants clad in white. They moved him towards another vehicle and made sure they all got in.

He is the son of Riaz Khan, owner of Khan’s Meat in Mayfair.

Reports gathered has revealed that ransom was demanded and one suspect has been arrested so far.

UPDATE

An Egyptian national who owns shisha lounges in JHB has been arrested for the kidnapping of businessman Hamza Khan. The man could be linked to other recent kidnappings also. R200 000 ransom was paid on Monday and just under R100 000 was recovered. Police also seized his bakkie.

Khan was freed by police after being found locked inside a room in Clifton Street Mayfair JHB. The main suspect was arrested in Norwood where he also owns a lounge.
