This flashback Friday is a special one. This one honours the memory of Rowdy Swanson. Has you can see in the first picture we have known Rowdy and his family for many years and he was a part of Fair Baptist Youth Group. This picture was of Rowdy and Roper running the 3 legged race at the Empire Picnic in 2007.

When you saw one Swanson boy you usually have seen both of them. Rowdy’s infectious smile was something else, he would light up the whole room with that smile. Rowdy was baptized at Fair Aug 16, 2015. That gives us such peace knowing he had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The Swanson family is a close family as you can see in the photo from 2015 See You At The Pole, Rowdy, brother Roper, dad Jarrel, and grandfather Butch Swanson all praying together. We enjoyed Rowdy going on several trips with us.

There was never a dull moment with Rowdy around. Rowdy loved everyone and everyone loved Rowdy. Rowdy’s senior year I asked him to speak at See You At the Pole and he did not hesitate one minute to say he would love to, You can see in the last pictures he is reading from God’s word and sharing it with all his friends. We have all been blessed for knowing Rowdy for this short time but heaven is richer today for having him. We all love you Rowdy and look forward to seeing you again in heaven!

Life really is short, and I hope we all truly understand that! Just because something or someone is here today, doesn’t mean they will be here tomorrow, live more, do more, be more, say more, and most importantly, love more, for love is the only thing that outlives us all! In the end, all we will ever have is memories and pictures.

Rowdy Swanson the good Lord had a special place for you, even at such a young age! You were a great young man that had a whole life ahead of you.

From looking at your Snapchat last night of you being at the rodeo, and doing what you loved to do but not knowing that just a few hours later, you would gain your wings.

Even though we haven’t seen each other in a while, I’ll always remember the last memory we had with each other! Understand that at any given time, someone’s life could be gone, so remember that when you think back on moments that you last saw a person, it doesn’t matter if its a stranger or a close family or friend, always be kind and loving, because we never know when our time, or their time, is up! Please pray for the Swanson family! Fly high buddy! Until we meet again.
