Nicole Detjen Dies Unexpectedly

The Pi Beta Phi University of Alabama is mourning the death of their friend and sister, Nicole Detjen who sadly passed away. Nicole Detjen was reported to have died today September 10 2020. The cause of her death or what led to her sudden demise was never disclosed to the public.

The University took to their official Facebook page to announce that Nicole has passed on. They penned down their heartfelt condolences to the family of Nicole.

As posted on their Facebook page – It is with tremendous sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear sister and friend, Nicole Detjen, MC16. Nicole was such a loving person and a positive light to everyone she knew, and she brightened up every room she walked into. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family during this incredibly difficult time. We love you Nicole and you will always hold a special place in our hearts, our angel forever.

The Pi Beta Phi at WVU also reacted to the death of Nicole. They stated that they are deeply saddened by the death of Nicole.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our AL Beta sister, Nicole Detjen. WV Alpha is sending love, prayers, and lots of virtual hugs to her sisters and family, they wrote.

Nicole Detjen was a senior at the University of Alabama majoring in Accounting with a minor in Professional Accounting. She planned on attending Graduate School in the Fall of 2020 to receive her Masters in Accounting while completing the CPA exam.

Nicole was previously an assistant swim coach and referee for the Atlanta Swim Association. She has relevant coursework in Introduction to Taxation, Business Communications, Computer Science and Micro Communications, and Financial Reporting and Analysis of Business Activity.

She is a miracle maker for the Alabama Dance Marathon foundation, on the morale team for the B+ Foundation, and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

In January, Nicole got a job at RSM US LLP, a leading professional services firm providing audit, tax and consulting services.
