Grange Farm Kesgrave Shooting: Residents near Grange Farm have been asked to stay indoors



Kesgrave High School confirms that students are being kept safe inside the school following an incident at Grange Farm in #Kesgrave earlier this morning.

Ipswich shooting – Suffolk Constabulary said in a statement: “Police are currently at the scene of a serious incident in Kesgrave.
“Officers were called just after 8.40am, Monday 7 September, to reports of a shooting in Grange Farm.

“Friends Walk and Through Jollys are completely closed off at present and there is a partial closure on Ropes Drive. Members of the public are asked to avoid these areas.

“Any witnesses, or anyone with information about this incident, is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting reference CAD 58 of 7 September.”

Police are still at the shooting range Via Jolly, off Rope Drive, urging people to avoid the area.

The Suffolk Constabulary confirms this morning that a person has been shot in a serious incident.

The principal of Kesgrave High School, Julia Upton, then sent a message to the parents saying: “We have been aware by the police that there is a serious incident involving a Year 11 student on the way to school. who are close to the police. Students should stay in school, and be kept safe in contact with the police.

“Police will be in the area and around the school throughout the school day. At this time we expect the students to be fired at the end of the school day, at 3.20 pm as usual.”

Police were called at 8.40 am and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were also attacked, landing closing the scene.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
